Quirky History: Paul Revere:More Than a Midnight Ride| Inspired by The West Wing
Quirky History: Paul Revere — More Than a Midnight RidePaul Revere’s Other Life Museum Exhibit | Inspired by The West Wing | Grades 6–10
Paul Revere is famous for one night on horseback — but his everyday jobs were just as fascinating.
In this Quirky History investigation, students move beyond the legendary Midnight Ride to uncover the surprisingly varied career of Paul Revere. Students explore his work as a silversmith and engraver, his growing copper business and industrial ventures, and even his unusual work in early dentistry.
Designed for 1–2 class periods, this No Prep Plan asks students to research Revere’s lesser-known accomplishments, analyze how his skills developed from craft to business to industry, and consider why one dramatic moment can sometimes overshadow the rest of a person’s life.
