No Prep Plans: The Vikings — Daily Life & Culture A Day in a Viking Village

No Prep Plans: The Vikings — Daily Life & Culture A Day in a Viking Village | Illustrated Village Diary | Grades 6–8

Bring Viking daily life together in one engaging culminating investigation! A Day in a Viking Village asks students to imagine an ordinary day from the first morning chores to the evening gathering around the longhouse fire.

Students explore how Viking communities functioned through farming, animal care, food preparation, crafts, household work, seasonal responsibilities, and community cooperation. They then use their research to create an Illustrated Village Diary following a Viking village, family, child, or worker through a complete day from morning to night.
