No Prep Plans | Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief: Create the Next QuestOriginal Quest Pitch | Novel Investigation | Grades 5–8
Put students in the storyteller’s seat with a create-your-own demigod quest challenge! In this no-prep investigation, students examine the structure behind quests in The Lightning Thief and use what they learn to develop an entirely original adventure.
Students create a threat, craft an ambiguous three-line prophecy, assemble a team of three demigods with complementary abilities, incorporate obstacles from authentic Greek mythology, establish a deadline, and determine the meaningful cost their hero must pay.
