No Prep Plans: Genesis – Genealogy & Family Lines (Biblical Family Tree)
No Prep Plans: Genesis – Genealogy & Family Lines
Bible Study + Group Project (Biblical Family Tree)
Grades 6-8
Help students discover why the Bible includes long lists of names and why those genealogies matter through an engaging, project-based study of Genesis 5, Genesis 10, and Genesis 11:10–32. In this hands-on lesson, students trace the family lines from Adam to Noah and Noah to Abraham, explore the significance of key biblical figures, and create a Biblical Family Tree that illustrates God's faithfulness across generations.
Designed for Grades 6–8, this resource combines Bible study, research, collaboration, and visual organization to help students see how genealogies connect the stories of Genesis and prepare for God's covenant with Abraham and, ultimately, the coming of Jesus.
This lesson is part of the No Prep Plans: Old Testament Series, a growing collection of project-based Bible studies that will eventually cover the entire Old Testament through meaningful research activities, collaborative projects, and hands-on learning experiences.
